This site is a sister project to The Great Australian Bucket List: One-of-a-Kind Travel Experiences, which focuses on the unique destinations and activities one must do, and can only do, in Australia before you die. This is comprised of a major book release and companion website, heavier on the action and lighter on the kids.
Anyone who says it’s a small world should spend 15 years trying to see it. It is in fact a big, wide and beautiful world, bursting with amazing experiences and adventures. I gathered my favourites into an inspiring book called The Great Global Bucket List which spans the continents ticking off natural, cultural, historical, adventurous and quirky destinations. It’s a magnificent gift for everyone from your kids (who finished school, don’t know what to do with themselves, and are starting to annoy you) to your parents (who recently retired, don’t know what to do with themselves, and are starting to annoy you). Or just something fun and colourful and inspiring to read while sitting on the porcelain throne.
You may also be interested in Canada, in which case, concentrate really hard and make your finger or thumb click on the link for The Great Canadian Bucket List, a similar project that focuses on the amazing (and I do mean amazing) experiences one can find in Canada. Polar bears, orcas, midnight sun, ancient totem polls, cocktails served with severed human toes – it’s all there, and I didn’t even make that last one up!
